The mission of the Foundation is to help better the lives of abused and at-risk children and to increase advocacy and community awareness about the needs of children.
At the time of her death Marcie was involved in a civil law suit against a school bus driver who sexually abused her when she was 11 years old. The lawsuit was successful and the Foundation was founded. The Marcie Mazzola Foundation works tirelessly to improve the lives of abused and at-risk children. They invest in programs that serve these children directly, and in initiatives that build community awareness about their unique and urgent needs. The Foundation has been successful in helping hundreds of fragile children overcome their abuse, develop self confidence, and become empowered to lead positive lives.
